Meeting of Slovene and Japan Businessmen: Strengthen Goods Exchange
Ljubljana, 4 July - It is intolerable that Slovenia does so little to maintain its presence in a market so important as that of Japan. Worth over dlrs 400 billion, the market is to conduct up to one half of the world's trade by the year 2000, Vinko Zupančič, deputy head of the Foreign Economic Relations Office at the Chamber of Economy (GZS) told a news conference Thursday, given on occasion of a Japanese business delegation paying a visit to Slovenia. Attended also by the Ministry of Economic Relations and Development representatives, the conference underlined the need to strengthen relatively weak bilateral goods exchange, for which the first step could be done during a presentation of Slovene economy, accompanied by a business conference, scheduled for November in Tokyo.
