Slovenia's Expo commissioner-general Jerneja Lampret said that the Slovenian pavilion could be compared with the biggest ones - not only in terms of area but also in terms of the funds invested.

According to her, the pavilion has been operating with full steam since July, receiving around 7,100 visitors a day. "What is even more important is that the visitors are satisfied," she added.

Economic Development and technology Ministry State Secretary Aleš Cantarutti commended the Slovenian Expo team on having the feel for people and visitors. "I believe that the team has done as much as it could."

While a part of the public at home has criticised the EUR 5m investment in the pavilion as excessive, he believes that the decision to participate at Expo was the right one.

According to Cantarutti, Slovenia has presented itself as a country that has something to offer when it comes to business and tourism.

Lampret added that the real effects of Slovenia's participation at the Expo would be known in the coming months.
