Parliament to vote on banning referendum on extension of army powers

Ljubljana, 3 November - The agenda of Wednesday's emergency sitting of parliament is likely to be expanded with the proposal to ban a referendum on legislative changes giving the army limited police powers to help police patrol the border in the refugee crisis. The plan was backed by the Defence Committee in a 9:1 vote on Tuesday.
