Slovenia basking in Indian summer; temperatures at 60-year high

Ljubljana, 9 November - Slovenia has been basking in unusually warm lovely sunny weather this month with temperatures reaching 60-year highs in parts of the country on Sunday. Meteorologists say the Indian summer is not over yet.

Record high temperatures were measured in Ilirska Bistrica in the south-west at 24.8 degrees Celsius, Murska Sobota in the north-east at 24.4, Postojna in the south-west at 23.9 and Rateče in the north-west at 19.8.

More record high temperatures are expected on Monday and Tuesday in other parts of the country too, duty meteorologist Brane Gregorčič from the Slovenian Environment Agency has told the STA.
