Upper chamber vetoes budget implementation bill over municipality funding

Ljubljana, 25 November - The National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, passed a veto on the budget implementation act for 2016 over municipality funding. The vote was 32-2 in favour of blocking the legislation, which will now need to be endorsed anew by the National Assembly.
