Ljubljana, 18 December - The final week of campaigning for the marriage equality referendum was expected to dominate the political stage this week. Instead, the police took centre stage, first by targeting an opposition MP in a sting related to the bad bank, and later with an investigation into suspected kickbacks received by the mayor of Ljubljana.
