Thousands of Slovenians spent New Year's Eve outdoors
Ljubljana/Maribor/Celje, 1 January - Thousands of Slovenians gathered in main squares of all mayor towns across the country for New Year's celebrations that mostly culminated with fireworks. A five-minute green-and-white fireworks in the capital marked the start of Ljubljana's stint as the European Green Capital.
