Govt advises against wood furnaces as air quality deteriorates

Ljubljana, 18 January - Air quality in Slovenia is deteriorating due to higher ozone levels in the summer and higher levels of fine particles in winter. The main source of fine particles are wood-fired furnaces and fire places, and the Environment and Spatial Planning Ministry has issued recommendations to reduce the use of wood for heating.
