National Council to vote on media law veto

Ljubljana, 4 February - The recently passed amendments to the media law will face the first challenge as the upper chamber of parliament votes Thursday on whether to veto the legislation over quotas for Slovenian music on radio.

Contested changes to the media act whose centrepiece is a requirement that radio stations dedicate more daytime airplay to Slovenian music will be discussed by the upper chamber of parliament.
