Koper to honour 500-year-old Carpaccio painting

Koper, 4 February - The Koper cathedral boasts a precious gem, an altar painting of the Virgin and Child amidst a group of saints by famous Venetian painter Vittore Carpaccio (1465 - 1525/1526). To mark 500 years of the painting, the coastal town will organise various events in the next year and a half.
