Carnival craze weekend kicks off

Ptuj/Ljubljana/Cerknica/Cerkno, 6 February - Many Slovenians will put on costumes to take part in carnivals this weekend. Virtually every town in the country has its own unique Shrovetide heritage. However, one thing is the same all across the entire country - the custom of making jam-filled doughnuts.
