Slovenia formally files Türk's candidacy for UN secretary general

New York, 8 February - Slovenian Ambassador to the UN Andrej Logar filed on Monday the candidacy of former Slovenian president Danilo Türk for the post of UN secretary general for the 2017-2021 term with the United Nations. This marks Slovenia's first official bid for the top post at the UN.
