Mid-term defence plan targets increase in army staff

Ljubljana, 17 February - A mid-term national defence programme through 2020 aims to achieve an 8% increase in army staff, from the current 7,049 to 7,600. Defence spending is set to begin rising as of 2018 and modernisation efforts will follow in 2019, in line with a draft version of the document confirmed by the government on Thursday.
