National courts must decide on proportionality of bail-in, EU lawyer says
Luxembourg, 18 February - A senior lawyer for the EU has opined that national courts in Slovenia will have to decide whether the use of the bail-in principle in the 2013 bank bailout was proportional given the situation. The guidelines issued by the European Commission were not binding on the country.
