Slovene Border Crossings Well Maintained

Ljubljana, 31 July - TZS/EVALUATION/BORDER/CROSINGS/SOUVENIRS
In the first half of this year over 90 million passengers crossed international Slovene border crossings and border crossings for frontier traffic, which is by 3.4 per cent more than in the same period 1995. Among 40 international border crossings Slovenia has the Šentilj crossing received the highest mark, all the border crossings having been evaluated by a special committee. The border crossings image, with only few exceptions, is very pleasant, which is very important for the first impressions about Slovenia, told representatives of the Tourist Association of Slovenia at Wednesday news conference, where they presented results of international border crossing evaluations as well as a competition for the best tourist souvenirs in 1996.
