Večer reports Pahor to invite Putin to Slovenia despite US pressure

Maribor, 12 March - Quoting unofficial sources, the daily Večer reports on Saturday that President Borut Pahor has decided to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to a July ceremony marking the centenary of a key memorial to Russian soldiers in Slovenia. Pahor allegedly had a very hard time making the decision in the face of US pressure to snub Putin.
