Slovenia seeking UNESCO listing for kurenti costume
Ljubljana, 24 March - The government endorsed on Thursday a motion to inscribe the door-to-door rounds by kurenti, a traditional Slovenian carnival costume, on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. The Foreign Ministry has been tasked with filing the formal application with UNESCO.
