Export, Import and Transport of Hazardous Waste under Control

Starting from 10 August, the export, import and transport of waste in Slovenia will be conducted in accordance with the Basel convention on supervising transition of hazardous waste across borders and its disposal. Ratifying the Basel convention three years ago, Slovenia became member of the convention, assuming all obligations resulting from the convention. These relate mainly to the regulation of waste traffic across borders in the region.
