First Estimations: May Saw the Largest Gap between Imports and Exports

The fist estimations show the May exports totaled US$ 670.3 million, this being by 5.3% less than in the same period 1995. The May imports amounted to US$ 853.4 million, not reaching the 1995 imports of US$ 908.4 million. According to the National Statistical Office, May saw this year's highest deficit in trade exchange with foreign countries, the latter being of US$ 183.1 million, which is by US$ 17.6 million below the deficit of May 1995.
