Faster and more effective action urged in fight against bark beetle

Ljubljana, 16 August - The first meeting of a task group dealing with the bark beetle scourge in Slovenia's extensive forests urged legislative changes that would enable a faster and more effective response. The bark beetle is expected to claim more than two million cubic metres of spruce this year.
