Tax package endorsed on committee despite opposition's grievances

Ljubljana, 16 September - The parliamentary Finance and Monetary Committee on Friday endorsed the government-sponsored tax legislation package which would reduce taxation of pay mainly for the benefit of the most high-skilled workers, but also raise corporate income tax. Opposition MPs were unhappy with the proposals, arguing they would do little to boost economic growth.
