Voter-supported motion for reform of judiciary rejected
Ljubljana, 22 September - The National Assembly voted down on Thursday a voter-supported proposal for sweeping changes in the judiciary, chiefly meant to provide more transparency and accountability. The coalition acknowledged the motion as well intended, but argued it was not well thought through and could produce effects opposite to those intended.
