Chief justice outraged by opposition to Supreme Court appointment

Ljubljana, 14 November - Supreme Court President Branko Masleša expressed outrage on Monday with Thursday's decision by the parliamentary Privileges and Credentials Commission not to back the candidate for a new Supreme Court judge put forward by the Judicial Council. He said it shows a complete lack of understanding of judicial independence.
