Slovenia remembers WWI General Maister

Ljubljana, 23 November - Slovenia is celebrating Rudolf Maister Day on Wednesday, the day when General Rudolf Maister (1874-1934) took control of Maribor at the end of WWI and in effect secured what later became Slovenia's northern border. Agriculture Minister Dejan Židan highlighted Maister's patriotism at the main state ceremony in Dornava last night.
