Running events abound this weekend
Ljubljana, 30 November - There are plenty of events for recreational hikers and runners lined up this weekend, including a run around Lake Škale and a winter version of urban gladiator.

On Saturday, the Winter Urban Gladiator will be staged at the Kope ski resort in north-eastern Slovenia.
The organisers promise an interesting obstacle course for teams of between two and ten members. More information is available at http://www.fatburn.si/urbani-gladiator-3.
On Sunday, Lake Škale near the town of Velenje in the north-east will be the scene of a 4 x 3,250m relay with mixed teams.

In the town fo Kamnik, meanwhile, runners are invited on Sunday to run to the Church of St. Nicholas at the 16th St. Nicholas Run.
