Peterle faces first hurdle in European Parliament bid

Brussels, 13 December - Slovenian conservative MEP Lojze Peterle will on Tuesday face the first hurdle in his bid to become the president of the European Parliament, as the European People's Party (EPP) votes on the nomination among its four candidates.
