MPs pave way for EUR 100m-plus Magna investment near Maribor
Ljubljana, 15 December - Parliament passed in a 58:3 vote on Thursday a law simplifying the appropriation of land for a strategic industrial zone on the outskirts of Maribor designated as the site of a major investment by Austrian automotive giant Magna Steyr. While MPs hailed the investment, some warned prime agricultural land would be "sacrificed".
