Mayoral recalls possible under new legislation

Ljubljana, 15 December - The National Assembly passed in a 45:19 vote on Thursday amendments to the law on local government that will allow mayoral recalls. Opinions on the matter were divided, but the support of the Modern Centre Party (SMC), Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) and the opposition United Left (ZL) was enough to get the legislation passed.
