New police bill on track for passage

Ljubljana, 20 December - A controversial bill that gives police sweeping new powers looks slated for passage in the National Assembly, as the majority of the coalition as well as the opposition new Slovenia (NSi) endorsed it at first reading on Tuesday by 53 votes in favour and 15 against.
