Peter Prevc becomes Name of Year of Val 202
Ljubljana, 22 December - Ski jumping champion Peter Prevc was voted the Name of the Year by the listeners of Val 202, the most popular channel of public Radio Slovenija.

"With sportsmanship style of a true champion, accompanied by a reserved but genuine sincerity, he put together an incredible season, in which he won practically everything that could be won," Val 202 editor-in-chief Mirko Štular said at the award ceremony on Thursday.
After a record-breaking season last winter, which he finished with a victory in front of tens of thousands of Slovenian fans at the Planica ski flying hill, Prevc donated his skis for a charity auction of the public broadcaster and sold them for EUR 45,000.
Prevc, who did not attend the ceremony, addressed the audience in a video message, in which he once again showed his signature modesty.
He said he was honoured and surprised, because after seeing the list of nominees he would not put himself in the first place.
