Higher excise expected to drive up cigarette prices by 3%-5% in 2017

Ljubljana, 28 December - After no changes to the excise duty on cigarettes this year, the Finance Ministry has proposed a two-stage increase for 2017 that would push up retail prices by 3 to 5% while securing an additional EUR 11.3m in annual budget revenue.
