Ormož eyewear maker to lay off a quarter of workers

Padua, 19 January - Italian eyewear maker Safilo will lay off a quarter of workers in its factory in Ormož, known as Carrera Optyl until 2015, the Italian group announced on Thursday. In an attempt to streamline its business, as many as 228 of the total 846 employees in the Ormož factory will lose their jobs.
