Mayoral recalls scrapped in revote

Ljubljana, 25 January - The National Assembly failed to repass on Wednesday amendments to the local government act which would have introduced the option of an early recall of mayors. The National Council vetoed the changes in December with the argument that they could jeopardise the stability of local government.
