Anton Janša, Slovenian pioneer beekeeper

Ljubljana, 20 May - Slovenia's pioneer beekeper Anton Janša is to be celebrated throughout the world if the country succeeds in having the UN declare his birthday, 20 May, World Honeybee Day. The 18th-century apiarist and painter is considered the founder of modern apiculture and most of his findings are still relevant today.
