Walking on Vogel under full moon, skiing in Kranjska Gora
Bohinj, 8 February - Recreation enthusiasts will be able to take a romantic walk under a full moon on the snow-covered Mount Vogel above Bohinj Lake this week or participate in a fund-raising memorial giant slalom race in Kranjska Gora.
The participants of the one-hour guided tour on Vogel on Friday will be told one of the Bohinj legends and interesting facts about Vogel, Bohinj and the Triglav National Park.
The giant slalom race in Kranjska Gora on the same day will meanwhile remember former competitive skier Drago Grubelnik, who died in a car crash in Austria in 2015.
The 2nd Gruba Memorial has a humanitarian note, as participation fees will go to a fund established for Grubelnik's son Maks.
The local tourist association in Svečina (NE) and the neighbouring Austrian municipality Ratsch an der Weinstrasse are organising on Saturday the Vinotour, the first international nordic walking hike among vineyards.
