Writer-director sees politicians wanting to get rid of artists

Ljubljana, 17 February - Vinko Möderndorfer, film and theatre director and author, made splash with his Culture Day ceremony keynote at which he accused politicians of merely paying lip service to culture. In an interview for Mladina, he went further, adding that politicians always wanted to "get rid of artists, philosophers and intellectuals".
