Bill boosting Judicial Council passed at first reading

Ljubljana, 17 February - MPs sent into second reading on Friday a bill that transfers the power to discipline judges from courts to the Judicial Council. While the coalition sees the bill as strengthening the Judicial Council, the opposition mostly argued the council remained too intertwined with the judicial branch of power.
