Slovenia buys back US$ 598m of dollar bonds

Ljubljana, 2 March - Slovenia has bought back some US$ 598m in its dollar-denominated bonds due in 2022, 2023 and 2024, the Finance Ministry revealed on Wednesday. The buyback is part of the state's efforts to reduce its dollar debt taken out during the financial crisis at high interest rates with euro bonds at more favourable rates.
