National Assembly appoints Fiscal Council
Ljubljana, 21 March - MPs appointed on Tuesday Davorin Kračun president and Tomaž Perše and Alenka Jerkič members of the Fiscal Council. They were appointed for five-year terms with a two-thirds majority, having secured the backing from 73 MPs in the 90-strong legislature. The council will be tasked with overseeing government spending.
