Krško transitioning to dry storage of spent nuclear fuel
Krško, 29 March - Slovenia's sole nuclear power station in Krško (NEK) plans to transition to dry cask storage of the spent nuclear fuel that is now stored on-site in a special pool. The company signed earlier this month a EUR 68.3m contract with the US firm Holtec, with construction of the facility slated to begin in 2019.
