Human Rights Ombudsman's status to be elevated

Ljubljana, 18 May - The government adopted on Thursday legislative amendments that make it possible for the Human Rights Ombudsman to fully implement the Principles Relating to the Status of National Institutions, a UN resolution adopted in 1993 that sets down the standards for national institutions for the promotion of human rights.
