Delo highlights major grey area in funding of MEPs

Ljubljana, 31 May - MEPs get EUR 4,342 a month to finance their representative office at home, but a joint investigation by 48 journalists has discovered that only 66% have such an office. While the European Parliament says controlling this would be too costly, the situation means there are no checks in place for at least EUR 12.5m in annual expenditure.
