A memorandum of understanding was signed on Wednesday under which Slovenian plant Revoz in Novo Mesto will be producing a redesigned version of French car maker Renault's electric Twingo with the government supporting the investment, whose amount was not revealed. Production will start in 2026 and the initial annual output will be 150,000 cars.

Ana Gros, captain of the country's national women's handball team, and canoeist Benjamin Savšek, an Olympic gold medallist, will be Slovenia's flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris on Friday, the Slovenian Olympic Committee (OKS) announced on Wednesday.
