"The Black Hole Bike Festival is a multi-day mass mountain biking recreational and competitive event which Slovenia has not seen before", the organisers say.

The marathon starting in Črna na Koroškem (N) features a longer, 50 km run and a shorter, 31-kilometre run, with both of them consisting of a 6-kilometre stretch under ground. All participants will thus be equipped with headlamps.

"The region of Koroško has much to offer, as it has become in recent years one of the most popular mountain biking tourist destinations, where mountain bikers from all over the world come to enjoy", the organisers add.

On Sunday, the 14th Pannonian Marathon of Three Countries in Lendava (NE) will take the participating cyclists through three neighbouring countries - Slovenia, Hungary and Austria.

Only the longest, 100 km race will take you through all three countries, while the shorter, 58 km race will run through two countries. The shortest and the easiest one, a 10 km family marathon, will run around Lendava.

"The events starts at 9 AM in front of Hotel Lipa. Those who make it to the finish line will be welcomed with a meal, a medal and bathing in the local spa", the organisers say.
