Bark beetles still ravaging spruce forests

Bled/Nazarje/Slovenj Gradec, 28 July - The hopes that a relatively cold winter would stop the march of bark beetle have proved to be vain. Forest managers are reporting that damage caused by the pest is even worse than last year, when it was believed the outbreak, which started in the summer of 2014, had already peaked.
