Govt withdraws support for UN Human Rights Committee candidate

Ljubljana, 31 August - The government withdrew on Thursday its support for the candidacy of Boštjan M. Zupančič, a former judge at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), for the UN Human Rights Committee. The move comes after Zupančič labelled Simone Veil, the French minister who decriminalised abortions, the greatest murderer of all times.
