Writer Andrukhovych urges Europeans to face existential trials

Ljubljana, 4 September - Ukrainian writer Yurii Andrukhovych, this year's recipient of the Vilenica Prize, has looked back on pre-independence Ukraine, reflected on the situation of the EU, his country and writers in Ukraine in an interview for the STA. He feels it is objective to doubt the existence of the EU in 10-15 years if Europeans fail to leave their comfort zone.
