Depleted wolf population causing spread of jackals in Europe

Ljubljana, 25 September - An international research team which also included Slovenian researcher Miha Krofel has been the first to examine the relationship between the biggest representatives of the dog family in Europe, wolves and golden jackals. It has established taht the depleted wolf population is a key reason for the expansion of jackal on the continent.
