Maribor vehicles factory, a returning giant, celebrating 70th anniversary
Maribor, 25 September - Maribor is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the TAM car factory, the city's former pride that fell apart soon after the collapse of the former Yugoslavia. The factory, whose demise seriously hurt the region around Maribor, has seen a revival in recent years, mostly owing to Chinese-owned bus maker TAM Europe.
