Near-final referendum results show rail upgrade law upheld

Ljubljana, 24 September - Opponents of the law governing the construction of the Divača-Koper rail expansion failed to bring down the legislation in Sunday's referendum, as preliminary results showed supporters with an 8-point lead with less than a tenth of the votes remaining to be counted.
